Aquaponics Monitor Update

Hey guys,

Just a quick update to tell you how I’ve been going.

The last week or so I’ve been working on building a little program that will simulate the input data that will be taken from the probes or sensors that will be monitoring the water quality for the system.

More about the overall project here.

In summary/layman terms, the project is an application that reads the water quality of aquaponics systems using a variety of sensors and displays it on a web/mobile application. In order to program and test the logic of such an application, the application needs to respond to the input data from the probes. That’s why I have built a program where the developers (me) can simulate the values taken from the probes.

With a busy teaching schedule in Moscow, I’m happy that I’m actually still getting some work done.

You can play with the probe simulator here (ignore the SSL warning and click on ‘Advanced’)

I’m drawing up a database schema and planning the back-end.

As always, any help or encouragement is totally welcome
